2025 in the house! Bring on gardens, bread-baking, and other good times!

I’ve amused myself (and hopefully you!) with book reviews over the winter, but soon garden season will be upon us in Southwest Michigan, Zone 6b. I know I said I was going to take it easy this year, but given current trends, it would behoove me to grow the things I enjoy eating as I do not see anything becoming less expensive.

I’ll continue the book reviews, but I’m seed starting in the next few weeks, so look out for that. I may also post about my adventures in bread-baking, as that has become a hobby I have highly enjoyed over the winter.

And, once I finish my current college work in graphic and web design, I’ll get back to my quilting. No, I am not a homesteader. I highly applaud those who have real homesteads, but I do not have the bandwidth nor the skill level. I’m just a city-dweller with a few skills. If you want to read about a cool homestead, check out my cousin Jessi and her family’s slice of heaven, Crafty Critters Homestead! I have never had better eggs than the ones from her chickens, and her goats make me laugh on the regular.
